This Crushable Fire Hydrant mechanism was designed and constructed at Paper Mache Monkey for 2nd Stage’s Production of Super Hero the Musical directed by Jason More, Scenic designed by Beowulf Boritt with Illusion design by Chris Fisher. The effect is trigged by depressing the soft urethane dome top sending the hydrant into the deck and buckling the sidewalk. a CO2 siphon tank is trigged at the same time to blow off the side cap with a white spray.
